CCS, together with inContext, invites you to a half-day seminar/workshop on Wiring Harness Design.

We are continuing last years much appreciated and well-attended seminars and will present solutions and ideas on how to get a more efficient and productive process, from idea and design to production and manufacturing of the cabling. As a part of this, we will use an example from Svetruck.

This time we will show the connection between E³.series and CATIA.

This seminar is aimed at those in roles such as:

• Designer / Technical Manager
• Product Developer
• Manufacturer

who, in one way or another, work with creating and developing digital documentation for wiring harness design and manufacturing of the physical wiring harness!

NEW TIMES, NEW OPPORTUNITIES, NEW CHALLENGES

Thanks to digitalization, it has become possible to create a 1:1 digital image and twin of the wiring harness. This can be used to model prototypes and handle changes in the digital twin before applying them in reality.

With this approach, the chances of successful outcomes increase significantly, as they have already been tested and verified in the virtual world.

However, this also creates new challenges for daily operations, and we will demonstrate and provide solutions to some of today’s challenges in wiring harness design and manufacturing:

• How E³.series can help the industry streamline the development and manufacturing process around wiring harness management.
• How E³.series can give you, in your role as a designer/engineer/product developer or manufacturer, more time to do what you are passionate about, with successful results.
• How E³.series can minimize the time you need to spend looking for and sharing information with various stakeholders and participants throughout the process by working in a shared “model” and with the same data.

WORKSHOP

We will use E³.series to demonstrate the entire process of creating and managing wiring diagrams from scratch and collaborating with 3D-MCAD (in this specific case CATIA) to reserve the necessary space, obtain the physical lengths, and generate the final production documentation (E³.series) for manufacturing.

We will also demonstrate, using a customer project from Svetruck, how data and information from a design company can be shared with a wiring harness manufacturer to minimize the number of work steps and risks of errors in information management.

If any participants have specific concerns, feel free to send them to us in advance, and we will try to address them during the seminar.

LOCATION & AGENDA

We will start the day with registration and a joint breakfast with coffee, tea, and sandwiches at 08:00 AM. Official agenda starts at 08:30 AM and the seminar ends between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.
